ABOUT ME
My name is Rafaela, I have a degree in Design, but it was through dance that I found my passion for impacting people. I lived as a dancer for many years, but with the pandemic all the artists went home early.
Unemployed and recently a mother, I had to reinvent myself.
This is how Amla was born, with all the love and dedication I have. It was a success from the beginning and grew so much that today it is my full-time job.
I feel very grateful to be able to continue creating and expressing myself through my pieces.

Why AMLA?
Amla is a fruit in India.
In India, the tree of this fruit is considered sacred, as they believe that one of the 3 gods that sustain the Universe lives there.
This was the trip of a lifetime!
And it was there, in an Ashram, that one day, a Swami came into my room, took my hand and told me that one day I would live by working with my hands! It was through them that I would pass on my love, my purpose!
At the time, as I was taking an Ayurveda course, I thought we would be talking about that. But it was only years later, when I created Amla, that I understood that this was my path and that there was only one name I could give to my brand… AMLA .
The perfect name, because just like my pieces that you see in front of a mirror, if you place AMLA in front of one, they will reflect my purpose…
